The problem of places’ shortage remained in the past after launching the Chisinau Dialysis Center, opened within the private- public partnership project for dialysis services in the Republic of Moldova.
Furthermore, thanks to additional medical equipment of the Dialysis Center, about 440 patients with kidney disease in the terminal stage can benefit from high-quality dialysis services. Thus, “BB-Dializă” places among the largest Dialysis Centers in Europe.
“At present, the Dialysis Center provides services to more than 320 patients representing over 60% of the total number of dialysis patients in Moldova. Recently, for the first time in history, we served a patient who started the dialysis at the age of 81 years,” mentioned Mr. Petru Cepoida, medical director of “BB-Dializă” Center.
From the time of opening, January 2016, the Dialysis Center has received more than 180 new patients, reaching an enrollment rate of 3 times higher as compared to the one existing before the operation of this dialysis unit.
New last generation equipment, exhaustive technical equipment, high-quality supplies, all necessary medication, comfort at the highest level are complemented by professional approach of the medical personnel.
The high quality of provided services are confirmed by the massive transfer of patients from other dialysis units, including from the left bank of the river Dniester.
For the first time in Moldova, the Dialysis Center, regularly organizes surveys of patients with respect to the quality of provided services. According to the results of survey, during the year many proposals of patients were implemented : the spectrum of medications was extended, the patients’ Guide was developed, it explains in details the peculiarities of the dialysis process and the specifics of the patient in dialysis diet; a new nourishment menu was introduced, the volume of services provided by the Dialysis Center psychologist was increased, etc. The suggestions’ box proved to be an effective instrument to provide services to patients consistent with their expectations.
