Training of medical professionals from Moldova in the largest dialysis center from Romania.

 

In order to implement the best practices in providing dialysis services several teams of medical specialists from Moldova participated in training and upgrading courses within Dialysis Center in Botosani, Romania.

“This dialysis unit was selected for trainings due to the following reason: it is the largest dialysis center of  Romania, which has 50 kidney substitution machines and serves about 250 patients, which is close to the functional characteristics of  Excellence Centre in Chisinau” said Mr. Petru Cepoida, BB-Dializa medical director.

The Chisinau Excellence Centre is equipped with 48 dialysis machines of the last generation, connected to the data transmission information system in real time Nexadia and in 2016 it is expected to increase the number of dialysis machines up to 64, which will ensure servicing over 400 patients with terminal chronic renal failure with dialysis services of high quality.

Throughout the training courses, medical specialists from Moldova have benefited not only of a training in operational terms; working with dialysis machines of the last generation, software management in view of patients’ data processing, functional organization of the dialysis center, as well as techniques for patients’ psychological counseling, who according to specialized studies, are considered a category of the most complicated patients.

During a series of training courses the Moldovan specialists enhanced their knowledge in providing dialysis services at European standards using the last generation technologies. The courses were provided by medical and technical staff Romania Dialysis Centre who shared their broad experience to their colleagues from across Prut river before launching dialysis units.

“The quality of service is reflected in patient’s longevity”, specified Dr. Cepoida.

Everything starts with a good organization. With this conclusion the trained medical teams trained in Romania, returned home to apply the accumulated knowledge.
